Action Line listeners updated on Juneau Ranger District work

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - There's lots of work going on this summer across the Juneau Ranger District.

Ed Grossman is the Recreation Program Manager for the district.

He told us about the plans for the replacement of two  bridges along the Windfall Lake Trail while a guest on Action Line.

Grossman said the bid package is out on the street.  He expects a bid to be awarded by October with work expected to commence in the Spring.

The estimated cost is between $250,000 to $500,000, according to the bid package.

Work started up this week on the West Glacier Trail.  Grossman said it includes drainage work on the lower end.

The trail remains open to the public, according to Grossman.
