
Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center is reporting seven new residents identified with COVID-19 for the time period February 27 – March 1.
Public Health is attributing five to secondary transmission, one to community spread, and one is under investigation.
Four of the new cases are associated with a cluster at a small Juneau business.
The cluster is currently at nine individuals, including two recovered.
Statewide, the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reports 385 new people identified with COVID-19 over the time period February 27 – March 1.
349 are residents and 36 are nonresidents.
The state also reports 10 deaths – one recent death and nine from death certificate review.
According to Department of Health and Social Services, 7,744 people in the Juneau region have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 5,278 have completed both doses.
Statewide, 155,951 people have received their first dose and 103,668 have completed both doses.
