Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The sole occupant of a plane that crashed into Trapper Lake Tuesday was able to self-rescue and was uninjured.
Troopers were notified of the plane crash in Trapper Lake Tuesday night at 10:18 p.m.
As Troopers were responding to the area, the caller contacted Troopers again to inform them that the adult male pilot, and sole occupant, of the Piper Super Cub was able to self-rescue and was uninjured.
Troopers said the pilot coordinated his own transportation from the Trapper Lake area, and will coordinate the recovery of his airplane.
The NTSB was notified.
